Description

Powerful Sino-Tibetan six armed white Mahakala, cast in bronze.
In Vajrayana Buddhism, this is a Dharmapala deity (warden of the faith) with the Krodha aspect (fierce ferocious).
Mahakala (the big black) is considered to be a Buddhist form of Shiva.
The elephant skin piece on the back is removable.
White Mahakala (Tibetan Gonkar) is worshipped in Erdene Zuu Monastery in Mongolia).
